| Product Name | BbsI Rapid Restriction Endonuclease (20 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0395 |
| Description | Recognising 5 prime GAAGAC(N)2^ 3 prime, this rapid recombinant endonuclease cuts two bases away from its asymmetric recognition sequence, which makes it valuable for cloning schemes that need designed overhangs and for obtaining linearised plasmid DNA. It digests plasmid DNA, PCR products and genomic DNA within 5 to 15 minutes, is supplied at 20 U/uL, and operates in the shared rapid series buffer at 37°C with heat inactivation at 80°C for 20 minutes. Dam, Dcm, CpG, EcoKI and EcoBI methylation have no effect, and BstV2I and BpiI are recognised isoschizomers. |
| Intended Use | Plasmid linearisation, DNA fragment cloning and rapid digestion with cleavage outside the recognition site |
| Principle / Technology | Site specific cleavage two bases outside 5 prime GAAGAC(N)2 3 prime within 5 to 15 minutes at 37°C |
| Specificity | Unaffected by Dam, Dcm, CpG, EcoKI and EcoBI methylation; isoschizomers BstV2I and BpiI |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Digest in 1x rapid restriction buffer at 37°C for 5 to 15 minutes; heat inactivate at 80°C for 20 minutes |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
| Shelf Life | 2 years |
| Package Specifications | 25 T |
| Key Features | Distal cleavage enables custom overhang design; single shared buffer across the rapid series |
