Product Name ArCas12a Nuclease for CRISPR Editing and Nucleic Acid Detection (10 uM)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0417
Description Derived from the CRISPR system of Agathobacter rectalis and also known as Cpf1, ArCas12a is a 1263 amino acid monomeric class 2 type V effector that functions without a trans activating crRNA. Guided by crRNA alone through its single RuvC domain, it recognises thymine rich PAM motifs at the 5 prime end of the target and cuts double stranded DNA to leave sticky ends, and it also processes its own CRISPR RNA. Once activated it additionally exhibits trans cleavage, indiscriminately shredding non target single stranded DNA in the reaction, a property widely harnessed for CRISPR based nucleic acid detection. Compared with LbCas12a and AsCas12a it tolerates a broader temperature span of 25 to 55°C, easing assay development. The preparation is verified free of exonuclease and RNase residues.
