| Product Name | ApeKI Restriction Endonuclease (10 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0523 |
| Description | From the hyperthermophilic aerobic archaeon Aeropyrum pernix K1, ApeKI is a type IIP restriction enzyme that recognises and cuts 5 prime G^CWGC 3 prime to leave a three base sticky overhang. CpG methylation overlapping the site blocks cleavage. The enzyme performs at 75°C in its dedicated Cut Buffer C and is not heat inactivatable, so the enzyme is removed after digestion by phenol chloroform extraction or column purification. As one of the first-choice enzymes for genotyping-by-sequencing, it is widely used in plant and animal genetic research, population evolution analysis and functional gene localisation. |
