Product Name ALPS chromogenic substrate for substrate concentration quantification
Catalog No. IGM-HMM-0202
Description ALPS (N-ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)aniline sodium salt) is a highly water-soluble aniline derivative supplied at a purity greater than 99%. As a raw material for biochemistry reagent kits, it is used to determine substrate concentrations in biochemical reactions. Because substrate concentration often influences the rate and outcome of a reaction, measuring it allows better control of the reaction process and more accurate evaluation of the results. ALPS is intended for biological research applications.
Intended Use For biological research; used as a chromogenic substrate raw material in biochemistry reagent kits for quantifying substrate concentrations in biochemical reactions.
Principle / Technology ALPS undergoes oxidative coupling with certain biochemical reagents to form a stable colored dye, which can be quantified by measuring its optical density or fluorescence intensity. Specifically, when ALPS is combined with a specific reagent such as peroxidase, oxidative coupling occurs in the presence of hydrogen peroxide to generate a dye. The color intensity of the dye is proportional to the substrate concentration, so the substrate concentration can be determined by measuring the color intensity. The oxidative coupling reaction of ALPS with certain reagents offers high sensitivity and specificity, enabling the detection of trace amounts of substrate.
