| Product Name | Advanced Heat-Labile Uracil DNA Glycosylase (UDG/UNG) (10 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0577 |
| Description | Supplied at 10 U/uL, this advanced format of the heat-labile uracil-DNA glycosylase hydrolyses the N-glycosidic bond between uracil and the sugar-phosphate backbone of DNA strands carrying dU, releasing free uracil, and acts on both single and double stranded DNA without affecting RNA. Manufactured by an ultra-low residual process, it carries only trace nuclease and host gDNA contamination, which suits applications that tolerate the least background, such as quantitative PCR systems in which primers and probes are pre-mixed ahead of use. The high enzyme concentration eases formulation of concentrated master mixes. |
| Intended Use | Contamination control in full pre-mix RT-qPCR systems and other low background molecular assays |
| Principle / Technology | Hydrolysis of the N-glycosidic bond of uracil in DNA with heat-labile behaviour suited to pre-mix systems |
| Sample Type | dU-containing single and double stranded DNA in pre-mixed PCR and RT-qPCR systems |
| Specificity | Acts on dU-containing single and double stranded DNA; heat labile; no activity on RNA |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Include in the master mix before amplification and inactivate by heating before the amplification step |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
| Shelf Life | 2 years |
| Package Specifications | 500 U |
| Key Features | Very low nuclease and host gDNA residue; high concentration suits concentrated pre-mixed master mixes |
| Concentration | 10 U/uL |
| Readouts / Downstream Assays | Carryover control performance in pre-mixed RT-qPCR systems |
For in vitro diagnostic use.
