| Product Name | ADOS chromogenic substrate for 4-AAP oxidative coupling colorimetric assays |
| Catalog No. | IGM-HMM-0204 |
| Description | ADOS is a chromogenic reagent used as a raw material in biochemistry reagent kits. Supplied at a purity greater than 99%, it is a highly water-soluble and stable aniline analog whose chromogenic and oxidation reactions proceed over a wide pH range, making it suitable for diagnostic testing and biochemical assays. Thanks to its good water solubility and stable manufacturing process, the product is consistently supplied as a pure white crystalline powder. |
| Intended Use | Water-soluble reagent for the enzymatic photometric determination of hydrogen peroxide; widely used in diagnostic testing and biochemical assays. |
| Principle / Technology | In biochemical reactions, ADOS couples with 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AAP) and, in the presence of peroxidase, is catalytically oxidized by hydrogen peroxide to produce a color reaction. The color development is sensitive and the test is rapid. In colorimetric assays of hydrogen peroxide activity, ADOS offers several advantages over conventional chromogenic reagents. |
