| Description | NSP-SA-N-Mal (acridinium sulfonamide-N-ethylamino maleimide) is a biomolecule labeling reagent with high specificity and reactivity. It carries a maleimide functional group that reacts with thiol (-SH) groups on biomolecules through Michael addition to form stable covalent bonds. Because the maleimide group shows a markedly higher affinity for thiols than for other active-hydrogen groups such as amino or hydroxyl groups, the reagent delivers excellent selectivity, making it well suited for labeling thiol-containing proteins, antibodies, and nucleic acids. |
