| Principle / Technology | Oxidation in alkaline media forms an excited 3-aminophthalate product that releases visible light. The stated emission maximum is 485 nm in aprotic media and 425 nm in aqueous systems with strong base, oxygen or hydrogen peroxide and an auxiliary oxidant. |
