| Product Name | 5'-Pre-Adenylated DNA Ligase (2000 U/µL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0313 |
| Description | A ligase specialised for attaching a pre-adenylated 5' end of DNA to the 3' end of a DNA fragment. The reaction needs no ATP but does require a pre-adenylated substrate, and unlike conventional T4 DNA ligase this enzyme cannot adenylate a phosphorylated 5' end, so it will not join a phosphorylated 5' terminus to a 3' terminus. That selectivity markedly reduces fragment self-ligation and chimera formation during NGS library construction. |
| Intended Use | Ligation of 5'-pre-adenylated adapters to DNA fragments during NGS library preparation. |
| Detection Method | Pre-adenylated 5' DNA ends and DNA fragment 3' ends |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Activity 2000 U/µL; strongly suppresses fragment self-ligation and chimera formation |
| Specificity | Requires pre-adenylated substrate and no ATP; cannot ligate phosphorylated 5' ends |
