| Product Name | 4% and 6% Crosslinked Agarose Fast-Flow SEC Media 45-165 µm |
| Catalog No. | IGM-HMM-0249 |
| Description | The Alta DiagnoTech size-exclusion media are hydrophilic porous agarose beads prepared by emulsification, crosslinking and size classification. Two agarose concentrations provide different exclusion behavior for large biological samples while supporting fast flow and straightforward scale-up. |
| Intended Use | Size-based separation of viruses, proteins, polysaccharides and nucleic acids, including impurity removal, desalting and buffer exchange. |
| Principle / Technology | Size-exclusion chromatography, also known as gel filtration. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | 4% agarose: approximate exclusion limits of 6,000 kDa for linear molecules and 30,000 kDa for globular molecules, 90 cm/h operating flow and 150 cm/h maximum flow. 6% agarose: approximate exclusion limits of 2,000 kDa for linear molecules and 4,000 kDa for globular molecules, 110 cm/h operating flow and 200 cm/h maximum flow. Both use 45-165 µm particles with a 90 µm average size. |
| Storage Conditions | 20% ethanol at room temperature |
| Package Specifications | Each agarose concentration: 200 mL, 1 L and 10 L |
| Product Form | White spherical agarose particles supplied as a slurry; settling may occur |
| Key Features | 4% and 6% agarose options 45-165 µm particle range Fast size-exclusion operation Physical and chemical stability across pH 2-12 |
| Product Type | Agarose size-exclusion chromatography medium |
| Function / Efficacy | Gentle size-based separation of biomacromolecules and buffer exchange. |
