| Intended Use | For antibody-mediated hot-start control of Taq DNA polymerase in PCR and qPCR reagent systems. |
| Principle / Technology | The antibody suppresses Taq polymerase and exonuclease activity during low-temperature handling, limiting nonspecific primer extension and primer or probe cleavage. Heating at 95°C for 30 seconds releases Taq activity. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Recommended blocking efficiency: above 95%. One microliter blocks 15-75 U of Taq activity or 0.3-1.5 µg of Taq protein, depending on the selected basis. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Mix Taq enzyme and antibody at a 1:1 volume ratio, incubate with mixing for 30 minutes at room temperature and hold overnight at -20°C before use. For batches above 200 mL, mix for 2 hours and adjust the process as needed. |
