Product Name 2-100 µm Crosslinked Polymer Spacer Microspheres for LCD and PDLC Cell Gaps
Catalog No. IGM-HMM-0274
Description Alta DiagnoTech plastic spacer microspheres are highly crosslinked monodisperse polymer beads with a narrow particle-size distribution. Multiple elasticity levels support precise LCD and PDLC cell-gap control while limiting substrate damage.
Intended Use Spacer particles for LCD, PDLC, TN, HTN, STN and FSTN display assemblies.
Principle / Technology Compressible crosslinked polymer microspheres mechanically establish a controlled display-cell gap.
Performance Range / Specifications Stock sizes are stated as 2-50 µm, with 5.8-9.0 µm stocked at 0.1 µm intervals. Series-specific catalog ranges are 2.0-100.0 µm or 2.0-7.0 µm; CV <3.5% or <3.0%; 10% compression modulus 300-700 kgf/mm²; specific gravity 1.08; thermal decomposition temperature 340 °C; refractive index 1.59 at 20 °C and 589 nm.
Product Form Crosslinked polymer spacer microspheres
Quality Control Particle size is measured by Coulter counter and calibrated with NIST-traceable standards. Control limits: Fe, Ca, K and Na ≤2 ppm each; chloride ≤1 ppm.
