| Product Name | Xanthine Oxidase (XOD) Assay Reagent (Colorimetric Method) |
| Catalog No. | ETR-HMM-0035 |
| Description | Xanthine oxidase (XOD) is primarily found in the milk and liver/spleen of mammals, belonging to the class of oxygen-dependent dehydrogenase enzymes. It is an important enzyme in nucleic acid metabolism within the body. When liver cells are damaged, this enzyme is released into the serum earlier than SGPT and shows a significant increase. It has significant diagnostic value in distinguishing between hepatocellular jaundice and obstructive jaundice. Additionally, during hypoxia, xanthine dehydrogenase rapidly converts to xanthine oxidase, playing a crucial role in the production of free radicals. |
| Application | This product uses the colorimetric method to determine XOD activity. |
