Product Name Uracil-Tolerant High-Fidelity DNA Polymerase 2x Premix for Methylation and FFPE Library Amplification
Catalog No. REKI-0104
Description A ready-to-use 2x premix containing a uracil-tolerant high-fidelity DNA polymerase, dNTPs and a buffer optimised for sequencing library amplification. The enzyme reads through uracil-containing templates that defeat conventional proofreading polymerases, so bisulfite-converted and enzymatically converted methylation libraries amplify with full sensitivity. Damaged FFPE DNA benefits from the same tolerance. Carry-over amplicons containing dUTP can be degraded before a run, keeping aerosol contamination in check, and the chemistry also supports uracil-excision based cloning. Only primers and template are added, which trims bench time and improves reproducibility.
Intended Use Methylation library amplification, multiplex PCR on converted templates, amplification of damaged FFPE DNA, prevention of amplicon aerosol contamination, uracil-excision cloning.
Principle / Technology The uracil-tolerant polymerase extends primers across dU-containing strands without stalling, while dUTP-carrying carry-over products from previous runs are selectively removed prior to amplification.
Performance Range / Specifications High sensitivity and specificity on converted templates; retains fidelity on damaged FFPE DNA.
Specificity Reads through U-containing templates; compatible with carry-over control workflows.
