Description Tryptophan (TRP, W) is one of the eight essential amino acids, primarily used for protein synthesis. Additionally, tryptophan is a component of various metabolites, including kynurenine, serotonin, tryptamine, melatonin, niacin, and NAD/NADP. Tryptophan is the only amino acid present in the blood in two forms: bound tryptophan (BTRP) and free tryptophan (FTRP).
Application This product is used to quantitatively determine the concentration of tryptophan in serum and urine.
Principle Using tryptophan as the basic component, an intermediate product is formed, which reacts with the catalyst to generate a fluorescent group detectable at excitation/emission = 370/440 nm.
