| Product Name | Adenosine Assay Reagent |
| Catalog No. | CMTR-HMM-0028 |
| Description | Adenosine is a purine nucleoside found throughout the body. It plays a crucial role in energy transfer through the production of ATP, ADP, and AMP, and in signal transduction through the production of cAMP. Adenosine exerts its effects directly through adenosine receptors A1, A2A, A2B, and A3. It regulates myocardial oxygen consumption and coronary blood flow, exerts anti-inflammatory effects throughout the body, and modulates the renin-angiotensin system. |
| Application | This product is used to detect adenosine concentrations in plasma and urine. |
| Principle | The assay first utilizes adenosine deaminase for measurement, followed by a multi-step enzymatic reaction to generate an intermediate, which reacts with the adenosine probe to form a fluorescent product. This fluorescent product can be detected at excitation/emission wavelengths (Ex/Em) = 535/587 nm, with its intensity proportional to the adenosine content in the sample. |
