Description Ultra-sensitive bioluminescence ATP assay using recombinant firefly luciferase and D-luciferin. ATP-dependent light emission at 560 nm is directly proportional to ATP concentration over a 7-log range, detecting sub-picomole to nanomole ATP levels. Glow-type signal with >4 hour half-life supports batch plate processing in high-throughput formats.
Intended Use Cellular ATP level measurement, mitochondrial function assessment, drug-induced mitochondrial toxicity screening, cell proliferation quantification, and bacterial contamination detection.
Principle / Technology Firefly luciferase catalyzes: Luciferin + ATP + O₂ → Oxyluciferin + AMP + PPi + CO₂ + Light (560 nm); light intensity proportional to ATP
