Description Superoxide dismutase plays a crucial role in maintaining the oxidative and antioxidant balance in the body. This enzyme scavenges superoxide anion free radicals, protecting cells from damage.
Application This product uses the Hydroxylamine method to measure SOD activity. It can measure SOD activity in serum (plasma), cerebrospinal fluid, pleural fluid, ascites, renal dialysate, urine, semen, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, myocardial cultured cells, tumor cultured cells, various animal and plant tissue cells, and at the subcellular level (mitochondria, microsomes), and can also detect SOD activity in microorganisms, drugs, food, beverages, and cosmetics.
