Product Name Thioredoxin Peroxidase (TPX) Activity Assay Reagent (Microplate Reader)
Catalog No. ETR-HMM-0024
Description Thioredoxin peroxidase (TPX) belongs to the peroxidase family and plays an important role in redox regulation within cells. It protects cells from oxidative damage by reducing harmful substances such as hydrogen peroxide and is also involved in the regulation of various cellular signaling pathways, including apoptosis and the cell cycle. Analysis of its activity is of great significance for gaining a deeper understanding of the redox regulatory mechanisms within cells.
Application Thioredoxin peroxidase can catalyze the oxidation of dithiothreitol (DTT) by H₂O₂, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 240 nm. The activity of thioredoxin peroxidase can be characterized by changes in absorbance.
Applicable Instruments Microplate Reader
Number of Testable Samples 96 Samples
Matching 96-well plate
Detection Time 4 h (96 Samples)
Detection Method DTT method
Spectral Parameters 240 nm
Signal Response Decremental
Notes Accurately measure the absorbance value at the corresponding time point to ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of the experimental results; if using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) reader, use a multi-channel pipette and perform the detection in batches to ensure consistent reaction times between groups.
