| Product Name | Sucrose Synthetase Assay Reagent (Microplate Test) |
| Catalog No. | ETR-HMM-0054 |
| Description | Sucrose synthase (SS) plays a primary role in sucrose synthesis and also exerts an important regulatory function in the storage of sucrose in roots. The characteristic of the onset of sucrose storage in roots is the appearance and subsequent increase in the activity of sucrose synthase. Through the action of sucrose synthase, when the decomposition activity of sucrose synthase exceeds its synthesis activity, sucrose is decomposed, providing the basic substances required for the development of assimilation organs; conversely, when the synthesis activity of sucrose synthase exceeds its decomposition activity, it promotes sucrose formation. Therefore, the regulation of sucrose synthase activity is particularly important in the distribution of sucrose metabolism during plant growth. |
| Application | This product uses the microplate method to measure SS activity. |
