Product Name Sucrose Phosphoric Acid Synthetase (SPS) Assay Reagent (Microplate Test)
Catalog No. ETR-HMM-0055
Description Sucrose phosphate synthase (SPS) primarily catalyzes sucrose synthesis in green photosynthetic organs, while its activity is very low in storage organs. However, experiments have shown that in the circulation of sucrose in the sucrose pool, there is an ineffective cycle where sucrose is simultaneously synthesized and decomposed, during which SPS activity is very strong. Therefore, the role of sucrose phosphate synthase in storage tissues should not be underestimated. In both photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic tissues, the activity of sucrose phosphate synthase is regulated by metabolic products and reversible protein phosphorylation.
Application This product uses the microplate method to measure SPS activity.
