Product Name Sucrose Assay Reagent
Catalog No. CMTR-HMM-0045
Description Sucrose is one of the most important fuel sources for the production of ATP, a universal energy molecule. Sucrose is a disaccharide that can be converted into one glucose and one fructose.
Application This product can specifically measure sucrose levels in various biological samples (e.g., serum, plasma, body fluids, food, growth media, etc.).
Principle Sugars are converted into glucose and fructose by the action of a transaminase. The resulting glucose is then specifically oxidized to form a product that reacts with the probe, producing color (λ = 570 nm) and fluorescence (Ex/Em = 535/587 nm).
Synonyms Saccharose; Table sugar
Assay Type Quantitative
Detection Method Colorimetric; Fluorometric
Applicable Instruments Microplate reader
Detection Time 1 h
Sample Type Cell culture supernatant, Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids, Urine, Tissue extracts
