Description A single-tube multiple-displacement amplification kit for rapid, high-coverage amplification of genomic DNA from single cells or low-input samples.
Intended Use Whole-genome sequencing, whole-exome sequencing, large-copy-number analysis, microsatellite analysis, qPCR, microarray and preimplantation genetics research.
Principle / Technology An engineered Phi29 DNA polymerase performs isothermal strand-displacement amplification with 3′→5′ proofreading activity.
Detection Method Downstream sequencing, PCR, qPCR, microarray or genotyping analysis.
Sample Type One to 1,000 animal or plant cells, bacteria, blastomeres, trophectoderm cells, sperm and other compatible low-input samples.
Performance Range / Specifications Approximately 2-hour amplification; reported genome coverage above 95%; products approximately 2–100 kb with an average length above 20 kb; 24 or 96 reactions.
Sensitivity / LOD Supports single-cell and other ultra-low-input samples.
Specificity High-fidelity isothermal amplification supports broad genome representation and long DNA products.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Add the sample to the single-tube setup, complete lysis and isothermal amplification, then stop the reaction and use the product directly or after cleanup.
