| Product Name | One-Step Globin mRNA Removal Reagent for Human Blood RNA (4 min Reaction) |
| Catalog No. | REKI-0057 |
| Description | A targeted reagent for removing globin mRNA from human blood-derived RNA. Globin transcripts occupy roughly 30 to 70 percent of blood mRNA, draining sequencing depth from blood transcriptome experiments, so suppressing them during first-strand cDNA synthesis is an efficient way to raise informative data. The reagent blocks globin reverse transcription with high specificity while leaving other mRNA, non-coding RNA and circular RNA untouched. |
| Intended Use | Globin mRNA removal ahead of mRNA and non-coding RNA library construction from blood samples. |
| Principle / Technology | Targeting probes anneal to globin mRNA during first-strand cDNA synthesis and block its reverse transcription, selectively excluding it from the library. |
| Sample Type | Human blood-derived total RNA, 100 pg to 1 ug |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Reaction time about 4 min; single-step operation |
| Specificity | Highly selective for globin mRNA with intact preservation of non-target RNA species |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -25 to -15°C |
| Package Specifications | 8 T / 24 T / 96 T |
| Product Form | Probe-based reagent mix |
| Key Features | Can be combined with a matching one-step rRNA removal reagent for joint rRNA and globin depletion; works with first-strand cDNA reagents from any supplier |
| Compatibility | Pairs with first-strand cDNA synthesis reagents from any supplier |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
