Product Name One-Step 3-Minute Human rRNA Removal Reagent (Locked Nucleic Acid Probe Method)
Catalog No. REKI-0056
Description A targeted rRNA removal reagent that suppresses reverse transcription of human ribosomal RNA with locked nucleic acid modified probes during first-strand cDNA synthesis, without affecting cDNA generation from messenger, non-coding or circular RNA. Compared with conventional RNase H digestion it takes only 3 minutes, runs as a single step and preserves non-target RNA completely, simplifying workflows dramatically.
Intended Use rRNA suppression before mRNA and non-coding RNA sequencing, RNA virus detection with host rRNA background reduction, and DNA/RNA co-library workflows.
Principle / Technology Locked nucleic acid probes anneal to rRNA during reverse transcription and block its cDNA synthesis, selectively excluding ribosomal sequences from the library.
Sample Type Total RNA and FFPE RNA, 100 to 1000 ng input
Performance Range / Specifications Reaction time 3 min; single-step operation
Specificity Highly selective suppression of rRNA with intact preservation of mRNA, non-coding RNA and circular RNA
Storage Conditions Store at -25 to -15°C
Package Specifications 8 T / 24 T / 96 T
Product Form Probe-based reagent mix
Key Features 3 minute one-step workflow; compatible with first-strand cDNA reagents from any supplier; strong performance on degraded FFPE RNA
Compatibility Pairs with first-strand cDNA synthesis reagents from any supplier
