| Product Name | Neutral Protease (NP) Activity Assay Reagent (Visible Spectrophotometer) |
| Catalog No. | ETR-HMM-0003 |
| Description | Neutral proteases (NP) are a class of proteases that act on protein peptide bonds in a neutral environment, hydrolyzing proteins into amino acids, peptides, and free amino acids. Due to their safety, non-toxicity, strong hydrolytic capacity, broad application range, and mild reaction conditions, they have widespread applications in the food industry, dairy processing, feed, cosmetics, and nutritional supplements. |
| Application | Neutral protease can catalyze the hydrolysis of casein to produce tyrosine under neutral conditions. Tyrosine can reduce phosphomolybdate compounds to form tungsten blue under alkaline conditions. The product has a characteristic absorption peak at 680 nm, and the activity of neutral protease can be characterized by changes in absorbance. |
