| Product Name | Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) Assay Reagent (Colorimetric Method) |
| Catalog No. | ETR-HMM-0050 |
| Description | MAO measurement is mainly used in research on cirrhosis. In cirrhosis, MAO activity is often significantly elevated, with a positive rate exceeding 80%. Its activity parallels the process of nodule formation on the liver surface observed via laparoscopy, and the degree of elevation is closely related to histological examination of liver connective tissue proliferation and distortion of lobular structure. In fulminant hepatitis, elevated levels may occur due to the release of this enzyme from necrotic liver cells, and there is a tendency toward elevation during active chronic hepatitis. Diseases such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, acromegaly, and hepatic congestion caused by heart failure also exhibit a tendency toward increased activity. |
| Application | This product uses a colorimetric method to measure MAO activity. |
