Product Name Model Species rRNA Depletion Kit
Catalog No. NG-QCY-0015
Description An RNase H-based depletion kit for removing ribosomal RNA from total RNA of commonly studied model organisms.
Intended Use mRNA and noncoding RNA analysis from zebrafish, nematodes, fruit flies, ciliates and other supported model species.
Principle / Technology Species-targeted probes hybridize to rRNA, followed by RNase H digestion and DNase I treatment to remove rRNA and residual probes while retaining mRNA and noncoding RNA.
Detection Method Downstream RNA-seq library preparation and sequencing.
Sample Type Intact or partially degraded total RNA from supported model species.
Performance Range / Specifications Input range 0.01–1 µg total RNA; 6, 12 or 24 reactions; approximately 1-hour workflow.
Sensitivity / LOD Reported residual rRNA below 1%.
Specificity Targets 5S, 5.8S, 18S, 28S, 12S, 16S and 45S rRNA while preserving mRNA and other noncoding RNA.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Hybridize total RNA with depletion probes, digest RNA–DNA hybrids with RNase H, remove probe DNA with DNase I and purify the depleted RNA.
Components / Formulation Species-targeted rRNA depletion probes, RNase H digestion reagents and DNase I treatment reagents.
Storage Conditions Store at −30 to −15°C.
Package Specifications 6 reactions; 12 reactions; 24 reactions.
Product Form Multi-component rRNA depletion kit.
Quality Control Residual rRNA, species compatibility, mapping rate and downstream RNA-seq performance are evaluated.
Key Features Broad model-species coverage; below 1% residual rRNA; approximately 1-hour workflow; compatible with degraded RNA.
Shipping Conditions Ship at or below 0°C.
Compatibility Suitable for downstream coding and noncoding RNA sequencing workflows.

For research use only, not for clinical use.
