| Description | Lithium heparin is one of the most widely used blood anticoagulants for in vitro applications. It is a complex formed by combining heparin with a lithium salt, in which the carboxyl groups of the heparin molecule interact ionically with the salt to create a stable network structure. The product offers excellent water solubility and high anticoagulant activity, effectively preventing blood from clotting in collection tubes. Lithium heparin is extensively applied as a tube additive and plays a particularly important role in coagulation analysis. Owing to its anticoagulant properties, it is also used in the preparation of medical materials such as artificial plasma and artificial cells, as well as in biological research including studies of the blood coagulation mechanism and the development of new anticoagulation monitoring approaches. |
