Product Details Related Products
Product Name Lipolysis Assay Reagent
Catalog No. CMTR-HMM-0035
Description Lipolysis is the process of hydrolysis of triglycerides in cells into glycerol and free fatty acids. Glycerol and free fatty acids are then released into the blood or culture medium. Lipolysis occurs in almost all cells, but is most abundant in white and brown adipose tissue. Impaired lipolysis leads to increased intracellular lipid accumulation, resulting in cellular physiological abnormalities, hyperlipidemia, and insulin resistance.
Application This product is used to determine glycerol released by 3T3-L1 cells after lipolysis induction.
