| Product Name | γ-Glutamyl Transpeptidase (γ-GT) Activity Assay Reagent (Visible Spectrophotometer) |
| Catalog No. | ETR-HMM-0017 |
| Description | Gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GT) is a key enzyme in the gamma-glutamyl cycle, catalyzing the transfer of gamma-glutamyl groups from GSH and gamma-glutamyl compounds to receptors, as well as the hydrolysis of GSH and gamma-glutamyl compounds to produce glutamate. It plays an important role in extracellular glutathione metabolism and serves as an important diagnostic indicator for liver and bile duct damage and alcoholic liver disease. |
| Application | γ-Glutamyl transpeptidase can catalyze the transfer of the γ-glutamyl group from glutamyl to N-glycinylglycine in p-nitroaniline, producing p-nitroaniline. The product has a characteristic absorption peak at 405 nm, and the activity of γ-glutamyl transpeptidase can be characterized by the rate of increase in absorbance. |
