Product Name Exosome Isolation Reagent (Polymer-Based Precipitation Method)
Catalog No. ATR-SPS-0021
Description A polymer-based precipitation reagent for the rapid isolation of intact extracellular vesicles including exosomes from cell culture media, serum, plasma, and urine. The non-ionic polymer selectively reduces the solubility of nanoscale vesicles, allowing their recovery by low-speed centrifugation without the ultracentrifugation steps required by traditional methods. The isolated vesicles retain their native morphology and surface protein composition.
Intended Use Rapid precipitation-based isolation of extracellular vesicles and exosomes from biological fluids for biomarker discovery and functional studies.
Principle / Technology Polymer-mediated reduction of extracellular vesicle solubility with low-speed centrifugation recovery
Detection Method Nanoparticle tracking analysis, Western blot for exosomal markers, electron microscopy
Sample Type Cell culture conditioned medium, serum, plasma, urine, saliva
Performance Range / Specifications Typical exosome yield: 50–200 µg protein from 10 mL cell culture medium; particle size: 50–150 nm
Sensitivity / LOD Detectable exosome recovery from as little as 100 µL serum
Specificity Enriches vesicles expressing CD63, CD81, CD9, and Alix exosomal markers
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Centrifuge sample to remove cells and debris (2000 × g, 20 min); add reagent (1:2 for culture medium, 1:4 for serum); incubate overnight at 4 °C; centrifuge 30 min at 1500 × g; resuspend pellet in PBS
Components / Formulation Exosome precipitation polymer solution, resuspension buffer (PBS with protease inhibitors)
Storage Conditions 2–8 °C for precipitation reagent; –20 °C for resuspension buffer
Shelf Life 12 months
Package Specifications 10 mL (sufficient for 20 mL culture medium or 5 mL serum processing)
Product Form Liquid polymer solution
Quality Control Each lot validated by NTA particle size distribution and Western blot detection of CD63, CD81, TSG101
