| Product Name | Copper-zinc Superoxide Dismutase (CuZn-SOD) Assay Reagent (Colorimetric Method) |
| Catalog No. | ETR-HMM-0048 |
| Description | SOD in plants can be classified into three types: copper-zinc SOD (CuZn-SOD), manganese SOD (Mn-SOD), and iron SOD (Fe-SOD). Lower plants primarily contain Fe-SOD and Mn-SOD, while higher plants primarily contain CuZn-SOD. CuZn-SOD is mainly located in the cytoplasm and chloroplasts, Mn-SOD is primarily found in mitochondria, and Fe-SOD is generally present in the chloroplasts of some plants. The sum of the three types equals total SOD (T-SOD). After sample pretreatment, the activity of Mn-SOD and Fe-SOD is lost, but the activity of CuZn-SOD remains unchanged. |
| Application | This product uses a colorimetric method to measure CuZn-SOD activity. |
