Description This product is based on the principle of detecting DNA content. Cells have different DNA content at different stages of the cell cycle. By measuring changes in fluorescence intensity caused by the binding of propidium iodide to DNA, a flow cytometer can be used to analyze the various stages of the cell cycle.
Application This product is suitable for detecting the cell cycle of most eukaryotic cells capable of mitosis.
Applicable Instruments Flow cytometer
Materials to Bring 1 × PBS, pH 7.2-7.6; anhydrous ethanol; sterile ddH₂O
Storage Store at 2-8°C away from light.
Features Three-step testing: Only three steps are required, with no waiting time, and results are available on the same day. Accurate testing: High staining efficiency and clearer cycle distribution. Good compatibility: Suitable for multiple cell types.
Notes 1. PI may cause reproductive toxicity, inhalation hazards, and skin irritation. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and use disposable masks and gloves during handling. 2. PI is prone to fluorescence quenching; avoid exposure to light throughout the process when adding staining solution. 3. If cell fixation is required, follow the methods outlined in the manual to ensure preparation of a single-cell suspension. 4. When using a flow cytometer for detection, set the flow rate to low speed (approximately 14 μL/min). 5. Ensure that the reagent is completely dissolved and vortexed before use. 6. Gently and slowly resuspend the cells; avoid excessive centrifugal force to prevent mechanical damage to the cells.
