Description This product employs DNA content analysis, using flow cytometry to measure DNA content for cell cycle analysis and determine the percentage of cell populations at different stages. The principle is based on the ability of intracellular DNA to specifically bind to certain fluorescent dyes (such as PI, DAPI, etc.), mark them, and detect their content.
Application This product is suitable for detecting the cell cycle of adherent cells and suspension cells. The fluorescence intensity of the DAPI signal is directly proportional to DNA content. The histogram of DNA content can estimate the number of cells in the G1/G0, S, and G2/M phases.
Applicable Instruments Flow cytometer
Materials to Bring 1 × PBS, pH 7.2-7.6; anhydrous ethanol; sterile ddH₂O
Storage RNase A solution: Store at -20°C; DAPI solution: Store at 2-8°C away from light.
Shelf Life 1 year
Notes 1. Fluorescent substances are prone to quenching. When conducting fluorescence observations, minimize observation time as much as possible. Additionally, take care to avoid exposure to light during handling and storage. 2. DAPI solution is irritating to the human body. Handle with care and take appropriate precautions to avoid direct contact with the skin or inhalation.
