Product Name Caspase 9 Activity Assay Reagent
Catalog No. CCAT-HMM-0040
Description Caspase 9, also known as ICE-LAP6 or Mch6, is sometimes written as caspase-9 or caspase 9, and is a caspase located relatively upstream in the apoptotic signal transduction process. After mitochondria release cytochrome c, caspase 9 can form a complex with cytochrome c and Apaf1, thereby being activated. Activated caspase 9 can activate caspase 3, the most critical enzyme in apoptosis, thereby promoting subsequent apoptotic signals. The activation of caspase 9 can be regulated by phosphorylation.
Application This product uses spectrophotometry to detect caspase 9 enzyme activity in cell or tissue lysates or purified caspase 9 enzyme activity.
Applicable Instruments Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay reader, spectrophotometer
Storage Store at -20°C away from light.
Notes Ac-YVAD-pNA should be avoided from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please note to aliquot appropriately. It is recommended to dilute the sample with water at a 1:1 ratio before determining protein concentration using the Bradford method to minimize interference from DTT on protein concentration measurement. pNA (Chinese name: 4-nitroaniline) is toxic to humans. Handle with extreme caution and ensure proper protective measures to avoid direct contact with the skin or inhalation. pNA (10 mM) may solidify and adhere to the bottom, walls, or lid of centrifuge tubes at low temperatures such as 4°C or ice bath conditions. It can be warmed in a water bath at 20–25°C for a short time until completely dissolved before use. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during handling.

For research use only, not for clinical use.
