Product Name Bacterial 16S rDNA V4 Amplicon Library Prep Kit for mainstream sequencing Platform
Catalog No. REKI-0105
Description A dedicated amplicon kit that interrogates the V4 hypervariable region of bacterial 16S rDNA on the mainstream sequencing sequencing platform. Forward and reverse V4 primers amplify roughly the first 300 bp of the 16S rDNA gene, and the resulting profiles feed species classification, abundance estimation, population structure and phylogenetic analysis for environmental and clinical metagenomic samples such as stool and soil. All reagents required for bacterial 16S amplification are included, and the amplicon library pairs with a dedicated dual-barcode primer kit for full-length index tagging during sequencing. Lot-level QC secures reproducible library stability.
Intended Use Microbial community diversity analysis, bacterial species identification, studies of microbiome composition in stool, soil and other environmental metagenomes.
Principle / Technology The V4 region is amplified with region-specific primers and converted into a tagged sequencing library, allowing read-based assignment of bacterial taxa and their relative abundances.
Sample Type Metagenomic DNA from stool, soil and environmental samples
Performance Range / Specifications Input 100 pg to 10 ng of metagenomic DNA; ~300 bp V4 amplicons; reproducible community profiles.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Amplify the 16S rDNA V4 region with the supplied primer pair, then tag amplicons with the companion dual-barcode primer kit before sequencing.
Components / Formulation 16S V4 forward and reverse amplification primers, PCR reagents, reaction buffers.
Storage Conditions -25 to -15 °C
Shelf Life 1 year
Package Specifications 8 T, 24 T, 96 T
Product Form Liquid reagents
Key Features Focused V4 single-region design keeps sequencing depth on species discrimination; pairs with platform-matched dual barcodes; QC-verified lot stability.
Compatibility mainstream sequencing sequencing platform
Readouts / Downstream Assays Bacterial species classification, abundance and phylogenetic profiles from V4 amplicon data
