| Product Name | 1-Minute Sample Release Reagent for Extraction-Free PCR and LAMP |
| Catalog No. | ATR-SPS-0092 |
| Description | Alta DiagnoTech sample release reagent is an ambient-stable direct-amplification lysis solution for molecular point-of-care workflows. |
| Intended Use | For rapid preparation of nasal or throat swab samples for real-time PCR, RT-PCR or fluorescent LAMP without conventional nucleic-acid extraction. |
| Sample Type | Nasal swabs and throat swabs |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Batch consistency was evaluated by adding one nasal swab and 1,000 copies of a pseudovirus target to 800 µL release reagent; quantitative PCR amplification curves were similar between batches, with ΔCt within ±0.5 Ct. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Add 800 µL reagent to a 1.5 mL collection tube. Collect the nasal or throat swab, place it immediately into the tube and rotate the swab head in the liquid for at least 30 seconds. Incubate for 1 minute at 20-25°C. Up to 10 µL lysate can be added to a 25 µL RT-PCR or RT-LAMP reaction. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at ambient temperature. |
| Package Specifications | Available in 1 mL, 8 mL, 100 mL and 1,000 mL formats. |
| Product Form | Liquid sample-release reagent |
| Shipping Conditions | Ship at ambient temperature. |
| Compatibility | Compatible with buffered PCR, RT-PCR and fluorescent LAMP systems. Not compatible with unbuffered colorimetric LAMP because the lysate is acidic. |
| Application Notes / Precautions | Reagent volume may be reduced to 400 µL per swab if required. Proceed to amplification as soon as possible after treatment, preferably within 1 hour. |
| Product Type | Direct-amplification sample lysis reagent |
| Function / Efficacy | Releases nucleic acid from swab samples for direct amplification, shortening sample preparation time. |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
