| Product Name | Total Bilirubin (TBIL) Content Assay Kit (Visible Spectrophotometers) |
| Catalog No. | BBITK-HMM-0025 |
| Description | Total bilirubin (TBIL) is the sum of direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin, mainly derived from the decomposition of hemoglobin in senescent red blood cells. Serum bilirubin can accurately reflect the degree of jaundice and can be used as an important reference basis for clinically determining jaundice. It plays a significant role in the diagnosis of liver and gallbladder diseases as well as blood diseases. |
| Testing Equipment | Visible Spectrophotometers |
| Matching | 1 mL glass cuvette (d=10 mm) |
| Number of Testable Samples | 48 Samples |
| Estimated Measurement Time | 2 h (48 Samples) |
| Storage | Store at 4°C |
| Self-contained Reagents | / |
| Detection Principle | Total bilirubin can be oxidized to biliverdin by sodium nitrite in the presence of surfactant, and bilirubin has a characteristic absorption peak at 450 nm, and the total bilirubin content can be quantitatively detected by the change of absorbance value. |
| Detection Methods | Sodium Nitrite Oxidation Method |
| Detection Wavelength | 450 nm |
| Signal Response | Decremental |
| Note | Bilirubin is easy to decompose in the presence of light, the operation should be carried out under the condition of avoiding light; if ΔA is greater than 1.2, it is recommended to dilute the sample to be measured appropriately and then carry out the measurement, and the calculation should be modified accordingly. |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
