Description A high-molecular weight linear polyethylenimine reagent for cost-effective large-scale transient transfection in suspension and adherent cell cultures, widely used in recombinant protein and viral vector production.
Intended Use Large-scale transient gene expression in HEK293 and CHO suspension cultures for recombinant antibody, protein, and lentiviral/AAV vector production in research and bioprocessing applications.
Principle / Technology Linear PEI 25 kDa contains a high density of protonatable amine groups that condense DNA into positively charged nanoparticles; after endocytosis, the proton sponge effect causes endosome swelling and rupture through osmotic imbalance, releasing DNA into the cytoplasm.
