| Product Name | Pneumocystis and Antibiotic Resistance Detection Reagent |
| Catalog No. | NATR-HMM-0024 |
| Description | Pneumocystis jirovecii is a conditionally pathogenic bacterium that parasitizes the lungs, primarily infecting immunocompromised individuals such as those with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), organ transplant recipients, and patients with hematological malignancies, leading to Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP). The clinical manifestations of PCP are nonspecific. Most patients present with fever as the initial symptom, followed by chest tightness, shortness of breath, dry cough with little sputum, and difficulty breathing. The condition progresses rapidly and has a high mortality rate. |
| Application | This product is used for the in vitro qualitative detection of pneumocystis jirovecii nucleic acid in alveolar lavage fluid samples. The nucleic acid amplification method was used to detect Pneumocystis jirovecii for the auxiliary diagnosis of patients with pneumocystis infection. |
