| Product Name | Plant DNA Extraction Kit (20 rxns) |
| Catalog No. | SD-HMM-0007 |
| Description | Plant DNA Kit is suitable for fast and efficient extraction of DNA from plant samples using superparamagnetic microspheres. The pre-made buffer can be directly used for extraction, or can be adjusted according to the amount of sample added. This product can be used for manual extraction of a small amount of samples, and is also suitable for high-throughput operations with automated workstations. The extracted product can be used for enzyme digestion, PCR amplification, detection and other follow-up experiments. |
| Features | Alcohol free system make lysis more efficient. Suitable for different tissue samples of plants especially complicated samples such as seed. Room temperature lysis to make DNA more stable, no need water bath incubation. |
| Storage | At 2-35°C |
| Shelf Life | 1 year |

| Product Introduction | Plant tissues are notoriously difficult for DNA extraction due to high levels of complex polysaccharides, polyphenols, and secondary metabolites that co-precipitate with or inhibit DNA. This kit uses a tailored lysis buffer system to effectively disrupt tough plant cell walls while neutralizing these inhibitory compounds. The protocol often involves a selective precipitation or column-based purification step to yield high-molecular-weight DNA that is clear, colorless, and ready for enzymatic reactions. |
| Product Application | • Plant genotyping, marker-assisted selection (MAS), and genetic mapping. • DNA barcoding, phylogenetic studies, and biodiversity assessment. • Detection of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or plant pathogens. • Preparation of DNA for whole-genome sequencing or targeted NGS panels. |
| Product Advantages | • Polysaccharide & Polyphenol Removal: The core strength of the kit, ensuring DNA is free from common plant-derived PCR inhibitors. • Broad Compatibility: Effective for a wide range of species, from soft leafy tissues to seeds, woody stems, and polysaccharide-rich tubers. • High Yield: Optimized to recover ample DNA from even small amounts of starting material. • Simple & Fast: Streamlined protocol reduces hands-on time compared to traditional CTAB methods. |
