| Product Name | Micro Total RNA Extraction Kit (Spin Column) |
| Catalog No. | RESK-0760 |
| Description | This kit employs a micro-scale DNA-removal/RNA-adsorption universal spin column together with a novel buffer system to extract total RNA from ultra-low-input samples such as minute amounts of animal cells, microdissected tissue, and easily lysed animal tissue. The entire workflow is simple and can be completed within 8 minutes. The typical processing range is 1 to 5x10^5 cells or less than 5 mg of tissue. The DNA-removal/RNA-adsorption column, combined with the specialized reagent formulation, efficiently removes residual genomic DNA without DNase digestion, delivering DNA-free RNA that is directly suitable for downstream reverse transcription quantitative PCR and high-throughput sequencing library preparation. |
| Intended Use | Rapid extraction of total RNA from ultra-low-input samples, including single to 5x10^5 animal cells, microdissected tissue, and easily lysed animal tissue (less than 5 mg), for downstream RT-qPCR and high-throughput sequencing library preparation. For research use only. |
| Principle / Technology | Micro DNA-removal/RNA-adsorption universal spin column technology combined with a novel buffer system; genomic DNA is removed during column processing without the need for DNase digestion, while RNA is selectively adsorbed and recovered. |
| Sample Type | Ultra-low-input animal cells (1 to 5x10^5 cells, down to a single cell), microdissected tissue, and easily lysed animal tissue (less than 5 mg). |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Ultra-fast: RNA extraction is completed within 8 minutes. Safe and non-toxic: no chloroform or phenol required. Suitable for micro-scale samples: extraction possible from as little as a single cell. High recovery: the micro adsorption column efficiently binds RNA for high yields from ultra-low-input samples. Effective gDNA removal: the DNA-removal/RNA-adsorption column eliminates genomic DNA without DNase digestion, yielding DNA-free RNA. |
| Sensitivity / LOD | Suitable for samples containing as few as a single cell. |
| Specificity | Selectively adsorbs RNA while efficiently removing genomic DNA, producing RNA free of detectable DNA carryover. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Cells or tissue are lysed in the specialized buffer system, genomic DNA is removed on the DNA-removal/RNA-adsorption column, RNA is bound, washed, and eluted; the entire procedure is completed within 8 minutes without DNase digestion. |
| Components / Formulation | Part I: lysis and wash buffers (store at room temperature, protected from light). Part II: temperature-sensitive reagents (store at -25 °C to -15 °C). Micro DNA-removal/RNA-adsorption universal spin columns with collection tubes. |
| Storage Conditions | Part I: store at room temperature, protected from light. Part II: store at -25 °C to -15 °C. |
| Shelf Life | 2 years from date of manufacture when stored as directed. |
| Package Specifications | 5 T; 50 T |
| Product Form | Kit containing micro spin columns with collection tubes and ready-to-use buffer solutions. |
| Purity | Extracted RNA is free of genomic DNA contamination and can be used directly in RT-qPCR and high-throughput sequencing library preparation. |
| Expiration Date / Stability | Stable for 2 years under recommended storage conditions (Part I at room temperature protected from light; Part II at -25 °C to -15 °C). |
| Regulatory / Compliance | For research use only. |
| Compatibility | Compatible with ultra-low-input cell and tissue samples; extracted RNA is directly suitable for reverse transcription quantitative PCR and high-throughput sequencing library preparation. |
| Recommended Buffer System | Novel proprietary lysis and wash buffer system supplied with the kit; no DNase digestion required. |
| Application Notes / Precautions | Designed for micro-scale inputs (1 to 5x10^5 cells or <5 mg tissue); do not exceed the recommended sample amounts. Protect Part I components from light and keep Part II frozen at -25 °C to -15 °C. No phenol or chloroform is used in the procedure. |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
