Product Name mRNA Transfection Reagent, Low Cytotoxicity for Sensitive Cells
Catalog No. ATR-CTR-0008
Description A specialized lipid-based delivery reagent optimized for the transfection of in vitro transcribed mRNA into mammalian cells, enabling transient protein expression without the risk of genomic integration.
Intended Use Delivery of in vitro transcribed mRNA for transient protein expression in vaccine research, cell reprogramming experiments, CRISPR base editor expression, and applications requiring integration-free gene delivery.
Principle / Technology mRNA-lipid complexes deliver mRNA directly to the cytoplasm where it is immediately translated by ribosomes; bypassing the nuclear entry step eliminates the requirement for cell division and avoids the risk of insertional mutagenesis inherent in DNA-based systems.
Detection Method Protein expression by reporter flow cytometry or ELISA, cell viability by MTT or flow cytometry, expression kinetics by time-course fluorescent imaging
Sample Type Primary cells, stem cells, immune cells, and cell lines where DNA transfection is inefficient or DNA-free expression is required
Performance Range / Specifications >90% of cells express reporter protein at 6–24 hours post-transfection; cell viability >85% at optimal mRNA dose
Sensitivity / LOD N/A
Specificity N/A
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Dilute mRNA and reagent separately in buffer; mix and incubate 5 min; add to cells; protein expression detectable within 1–2 hours; expression duration 24–72 hours depending on mRNA stability.
Components / Formulation Proprietary lipid blend, mRNA-complexing buffer
Storage Conditions 2–8°C; buffer at 15–30°C
Shelf Life 12 months; buffer 24 months
Package Specifications 0.75 mL reagent + 25 mL buffer, for ~250 reactions (24-well)
Product Form Liquid reagent with buffer
Quality Control EGFP mRNA transfection efficiency in human fibroblasts, viability assessment, RNase-free certification
Key Features Integration free; rapid expression; low cytotoxicity; suitable for sensitive cells; RNase free; validated for cell reprogramming and vaccine research
