Product Name Magnetic Nanoparticle-Based Nucleic Acid Delivery Reagent
Catalog No. ATR-CTR-0013
Description A magnetically assisted transfection system using cationic polymer-coated iron oxide nanoparticles that are concentrated onto the cell surface by an external magnetic field, dramatically increasing nucleic acid delivery efficiency.
Intended Use Enhanced delivery of plasmid DNA, siRNA, and antisense oligonucleotides into adherent and suspension cells; particularly effective for low-volume and high-throughput transfection in multi-well plate formats.
Principle / Technology Cationic polymer-coated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles complex nucleic acids; application of a magnetic plate beneath the culture vessel concentrates the nanoparticles onto the cell monolayer within minutes, increasing the local DNA concentration at the cell surface and enhancing uptake.
Detection Method Reporter gene expression, magnetic field effect on transfection efficiency (with vs without magnet comparison)
Sample Type Adherent cell lines in multi-well plates, suspension cells, primary cells, difficult-to-transfect lines
Performance Range / Specifications Transfection efficiency enhancement 5–20 fold compared to standard lipid transfection without magnetic assistance; transfection complete within 15–30 minutes incubation on magnetic plate
Sensitivity / LOD N/A
Specificity N/A
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Mix DNA with magnetic nanoparticle reagent; incubate 20 min for complex formation; add to cells; place culture plate on magnetic plate for 15–30 min; remove magnetic plate; continue culture; assay 24–48 hours.
Components / Formulation Cationic polymer-coated iron oxide nanoparticles, 1 mg/mL in water, sterile, magnetic plate (96-well or 24-well format)
Storage Conditions 2–8°C; do not freeze; protect from magnetic fields
Shelf Life 12 months
Package Specifications 100 µL reagent (for 100 transfections in 96-well) + magnetic plate
Product Form Liquid nanoparticle suspension with magnetic plate
Quality Control Particle size <100 nm by DLS, zeta potential +20 to +40 mV, sterility, endotoxin <0.5 EU/mL, transfection enhancement validation
Key Features Magnetically enhanced delivery; reduced transfection time; increased efficiency; low cytotoxicity; compatible with multi-well formats; DNA dose reduction possible
