Description A multi-component cationic lipid formulation designed as a direct replacement for first-generation lipid transfection reagents used for plasmid DNA delivery into adherent mammalian cells. The reagent forms stable complexes with plasmid DNA through electrostatic interaction between the cationic lipid head groups and negatively charged DNA phosphate backbone. The lipid formulation includes a neutral co-lipid that stabilizes the lipoplex structure and enhances membrane fusion activity.
