Product Name Laboratory Glassware Detergent, Liquid Concentrate, Biodegradable Formula
Catalog No. ATRCS-0024
Description Concentrated liquid detergent formulated for manual and automated laboratory glassware washing. The biodegradable surfactant system effectively removes protein residues, lipid films, cell culture debris, and general laboratory soils without leaving interfering deposits. Phosphate-free and chlorine-free composition makes it suitable for sensitive analytical workflows where trace residue must be minimized.
Intended Use General laboratory glassware and plasticware cleaning for biochemistry, molecular biology, and clinical chemistry laboratories requiring residue-free surfaces for downstream analytical procedures.
Principle / Technology Surfactant-based emulsification and solubilization of organic and inorganic residues through micelle formation, followed by thorough rinsing to achieve a residue-free surface.
Detection Method Manual soaking and brushing or automated laboratory glassware washer compatible; visual inspection for cleanliness.
Sample Type Laboratory glassware, plasticware, stainless steel instruments, ceramic ware.
Performance Range / Specifications Effective at dilution ratios from 1:100 to 1:500 depending on soiling level; residue less than 1 ppm after triple rinse.
Sensitivity / LOD N/A — cleaning agent applies to macroscopic surfaces.
Specificity Broad-spectrum cleaning of proteinaceous, lipid-based, and carbohydrate residues from laboratory surfaces.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Soak 15-30 minutes at 20-60 °C; rinse thoroughly with deionized water at least three times.
Components / Formulation Nonionic and anionic surfactant blend, chelating agent, pH buffer, preservative, water.
Storage Conditions Store at room temperature (15-25 °C) in tightly closed container; protect from freezing.
Shelf Life 24 months from date of manufacture in unopened container.
Package Specifications 1 L, 5 L, 20 L HDPE bottles with tamper-evident seal.
Product Form Clear to pale yellow viscous liquid concentrate.
Quality Control Each lot tested for cleaning efficacy using standardized soil challenge, residue analysis by conductivity and TOC measurement.
Key Features Biodegradable within 28 days per OECD 301B; phosphate-free; chlorine-free; low-foaming formulation compatible with automatic washers; non-corrosive to borosilicate glass and stainless steel.
Purity Active surfactant content ≥25% w/w; heavy metals <5 ppm; residue on evaporation <0.1% w/w.
Concentration Use at 0.2-1% v/v in deionized water depending on application.
Activity / Unit Definition Cleaning efficacy validated by removal of ≥99% of BSA and lipid soil in standard challenge test.
Molecular Weight Not applicable — surfactant mixture formulation.
Source / Origin Synthetic surfactants and chelating agents from analytical grade raw materials.
pH Range / Optimal pH Working solution pH 7.0-8.5 at recommended dilution.
Shipping Conditions Ambient temperature; protect from extreme cold and direct sunlight.
Expiration Date / Stability 24 months at recommended storage; after opening, use within 12 months.
Regulatory / Compliance For laboratory use; complies with ISO 15189 laboratory quality management requirements for cleaning validation.
Compatibility Compatible with borosilicate glass, polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE, stainless steel. Not recommended for aluminum or zinc surfaces.
Recommended Buffer System Phosphate-free buffering system maintains neutral pH in working solution.
Application Notes / Precautions Pre-soak heavily soiled items for 30 minutes before washing. Use warm water (40-50 °C) for optimal cleaning. Always perform a final rinse with deionized water. Do not mix with acidic cleaners or bleach-based products.
Batch-to-Batch Consistency pH of working solution within ±0.2 units; surface tension within ±2 mN/m of reference lot.
