Description A low-toxicity total RNA isolation reagent for cultured cells, animal tissues and simple plant tissues. The room-temperature workflow precipitates protein, DNA and polysaccharide contaminants while retaining RNA in the upper solution.
Intended Use Total RNA isolation for RT-PCR, qRT-PCR, Northern blotting, dot blotting, in vitro translation and high-throughput sequencing.
Principle / Technology Chemical lysis and selective impurity precipitation without chloroform partitioning, followed by alcohol precipitation and washing of RNA.
Detection Method Downstream RNA analysis.
Sample Type Cultured cells, animal tissues and simple plant tissues.
Performance Range / Specifications Total extraction time within approximately 1 hour; room-temperature processing; no chloroform; supplied for approximately 200 or 400 reactions.
