Description Pertussis is a common acute respiratory infectious disease in children, caused by Bordetella pertussis. Its characteristic features include paroxysmal spasmodic coughing, followed by a distinctive inspiratory whoop at the end of the coughing spell. The disease course is prolonged, lasting several weeks or even up to three months, hence the name “pertussis.”
Application This product is used for the etiological diagnosis of spasmodic cough and chronic cough.
