Product Name Bacterial Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (10 rxns)
Catalog No. SD-HMM-0005
Description The Bacterial Genomic DNA Kit can extract genomic DNA from bacterial samples based on magnetic beads method. Using magnetic beads after lysis of Gram positive or negative bacteria, its genomic DNA will be enriched and extracted with high efficiency and purity. The extracted sample can be directly used in enzyme digestion, PCR, next generation sequencing, gene chip, Southern hybridization and other experiments.
Features Fast operation: The experiment duration is 40 mins.
No contamination: No RNA and protein contamination.
Wide range: Applicable to all bacteria.
No poison: No toxic organic solvents such as phenol and chloroform.
Storage At 2-35°C
Shelf Life 2 years

Product Introduction Rapid and reliable bacterial DNA isolation is fundamental for microbiology research and diagnostics. This kit uses a streamlined protocol involving enzymatic (lysozyme) and/or chemical lysis to break down the tough bacterial cell wall, followed by steps to remove proteins, RNA, and other contaminants. It yields ready-to-use DNA suitable for amplification and sequencing directly from colony picks or small culture volumes.
Product Application • Bacterial strain identification via 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
• PCR-based detection of pathogenic bacteria or antibiotic resistance genes.
• Preparation of DNA templates for cloning or functional genomics studies.
• Metagenomic analysis from isolated colonies.
Product Advantages • Fast & Simple: Many protocols can be completed in less than 30 minutes from colony to eluted DNA.
• Broad Bacterial Range: Effective for both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
• PCR-Ready: The purified DNA is free of inhibitors, ensuring robust PCR amplification.
• Cost-Effective Mini-Prep: Perfect for screening multiple isolates without the need for large-scale plasmid preparation systems.

For research use only, not for clinical use.
